New Designs

I have slightly changed this design by softening the line of the painterly flowers.

 This design is from the back of the page in my skip book. The pens have seeped through the page resulting in these marks. I have left the top of the design blank as I will screen print back into the design once printed.

 I was pleased with the result of the previous design using circles so I have developed this further. When evaluating the samples I have produced so far I found the painterly mark from an earlier heat transfer sample interesting so I scanned this mark in and altered the colour for this design.

 By adding a little context drawing to my designs, the design gains a figurative element and a contrast in scale. I will screen print onto this fabric.

 I have developed this length by overlapping elements from my drawings. I will continue to do this in the print room. This piece will be 70cmx250cm.

 Again I have scaled up a drawing with abstract and figurative elements combined with the textured mark from the heat transfer dyes and the context drawing. I will work into this in the print room.

I have decided to make this design smaller rather than the top of a length as I feel my other designs are stronger.

After trying lots of different variations e.g. no note book spiral showing, spiral showing, half drop repeat I have decided on the original layout. However I have rescanned all of my drawings to make sure they are all the same quality.
