We had a great lesson with Will Krisp last term about making designs quickly. We brought it textured objects then really quickly tried to represent these textures. I used ink and sponges, pencil and pens. We then roughly cut them into the shapes of the objects. We then stuck them together, turned them over then cut circles out to make our designs (I can't find a photo of the end bit). We all enjoyed this and I will do it again one day!

Rachel's fabrics
Whilst playing with my images of Rachel's things I learnt lots about using multiple colours in print (on the shoes). To create the dennis the menace style stripe I used heat reactive dyes applied with a sponge so that there is no brush marks! When I mixed up the colours they looked as if they would come out really dulls and muddy but once they have been heat press the colours turn vibrant. I also used foiling and then re-used the cut out to create the squares at the top. I have been using chiffon after seeing Zandra Rhodes' prints on chiffon.

Granada
I have uploaded a lot of photos from my easter trip to visit my sister but these are just a few! Granada is so beautiful. Looking forward to going back in a couple of weeks! Here is a drawing I did of the Al Hambra whilst surrounded by little spanish children :)
