I went back to photos from previous travels and stated to draw more beautiful buildings! I then came up with the 'Fictional Cities' idea, to mix together places I have been to create my own made up cities.

As I was no longer in Spain and I didn't want to draw from photos I started to draw in England.

First Spain Prints

The top drawing was used to create the busy print above. I used the cut through process that I learnt in Spain to make the join hidden. At this point I decided I  needed to change my colour palette as these browns and greens are not likely to be what people are looking for at Premier Vision.

Drawing course in Spain (sept 11)

In September I took part in a drawing course led by Martyn Blundell. It was worth every penny and I would recommend it to anyone. We went to a different beautiful place each day so that we drew all different sorts of scenes. We ate loads, drank loads and drew loads in lovely company. I learnt lots and I now feel confident in my drawing skills however I am still doing it all again in June and bringing my friend Rachel along.

Fictional Cities

Have not written on here for ages but I am a bit excited about getting to grips with PhotoShop. Its kind of mid project and will put more of what I have been doing later! I drew some of my favourite places and then muddled them up on Photoshop to create mental made up cities :).
